New player questions....

I have looked around forums trying to find an answer... but I have not...

First I was looking for a decent or good dps class to level up. and I find classes refered to as DRG or MNK when I look for Final Fantasy XIV classes. I figured that DRG is Dragoon and thats a Lancer but the rest I dunno about.

Second... when I create I do not see the classes for Diciple of the Land etc, is that not available at Launch or st start? I remember it was that in version 1.0

Id be happy for some help.

Once you get to level 10 in your starting class you get the ability to go to other guilds and start any other class you want, disciples of the land included.

Classic FF Jobs are a different story and you need at least a level 30 class and some subclasses. You can search on wikis for specific info on jobs

Monk = pugilist
Bard = archer
Paladin = gladiator
Warrior = marauder
Dragoon = lancer
Black Mage = thamaturge
White Mage = conjuror
Summoner and Scholar = arcanist


And crafting and gathering unlocks at level 10 after completing your class quest.

I havn't been able to find the answert to my question, hopefully you can help me. I am new to the FF MMOs, so I'm not sure how some of it works. I got the pre-order so I could get early access and the two bonus items. but I havn't gotten the items yet. Is it just something wrong with what I did, or do I have to do a certain quest or go to a specific person or what? Hopefully, you can help me and I will no longer be confused

Hoping someone can answer this one, as I have struck out trying to find info. What do I need to do in order to summon my chocobo to fight beside me? I can ride around on it with no problem, but it says I have to learn a skill in order to have it fight. Yet, nothing at the GC, nor the npc that gave me the chocobo advises of further requirements... a FC member said to level within the GC, and then it would be unlocked, which did not work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
