1.0 collectors edition holder....no EA?

So...I thought if you owned the 1.0 collectors edition, you qualified for legacy and early access...

But its saying "no valid service accounts"

and then redirects me to put in a code for pre-order....which i didnt because I was under the impression collectors edition 1.0 holders didnt need to for EA...

You only qualified for Legacy status if you paid at least 3 months of subscription during a certain period of time during 1.0. You don't automatically have EA / Legacy just for purchasing the original CE unfortunately.

I was able to make a character on the legacy servers so I just thought i was in...lame

there is a 30/60/90 day legacy status for 1.0 for anyone who paid after March (I believe) for 1/2/3 or more months before 1.0 closed out.. but ALL legacy members are supposed to get a $9.99 monthly sub AND EA for 2.0

1.0 CE had a 6 month sub, read that all Legacy got a discount and EA, but now that site has been removed by SE... WTF (check it out, its a link on the bottom of the pre-order page in their store) Its gone now, broken URL...

I feel like all of us Legacy purchasers are being ripped off here, something fierce...

I have to totally agree here, I had access to the legacy servers, plus had a 2 rolling subscriptions from one bank account until it went free-to-play. Not to mention the new in game items that we do not access to unless we pay for an upgrade/new copy.

It's not our fault the game was developed so poorly the first time around, Anyone who got the game to start with, should have the same rights as the users who buy the new edition.

Just because you had access to the legacy servers in beta doesn't mean your account is a legacy one - anyone could make characters on those servers.

If you have legacy status then when you go into the SQEX Account Information site and look under Options and Services: Select Service -> FFXIV you should see this meteor logo under active service accounts:

Legacy or not all 1.0 users are getting shafted one way or another.

Well said. It comes off as if they are trying to leech money from us any way they can!

But seriously, go to the digital pre-order page again, go to the very bottom, there is a link for 1.0 CE holders, that link used to explain how we got free early access, reduced sub fees, etc, now the link is gone!!!
