Plan to let new people into Excalibur, Gilgamesh, Leviathan and Moogle?

These have been closed since the open beta and I would think that a chunk of people playing on those worlds merely played for free during the beta and don't actually have the game.

I'm trying to get my friends into these servers (to avoid having to lose my 1.0 character).

    Any news?

I think when FFXI launched the answer to this problem was opening a new server and letting people worldshift to it for free from the overpopulated servers.

I think I read somewhere where if a character is inactive over a long period of time SE will send a notification to the player about deletion to free up space on a server. I'm not sure where I saw it though... But I think I remember them saying this.

I like it, less players the better. Then when my friends join in the official launch they will have room.

Excalibur was open for new accounts first thing when EA started today, my friend was able to get in as were a few others. Didnt last more than 20mins tops though. My advice is try to get them to make a charater when servers go active again this seemed to meet with more success.

I was able to create a new character on Levi as soon as the game went up this morning. So they did open the servers up but people probably rushed them til they were full again

I dont understand why we cant just have a mega server with every on it, and have different dimensional instances of each area for over flow. Its 2013 why are we still restricted to a single server?

MMO games should bring people together, but they are more restrictive than regular Multiplayer games.
