EA hiccups !!
So far they put it down for maintenance till 11 am pacific, its 9am now.
Many may think that its horrible and is the fault of square enix well here's the thing.
It's annoying however they caught it fast. Started at 7am. THIS IS THE NORTH AMERICAN DATA CENTERS. It's sat, at what time in the morning, yet they investigated and doing emerg maintenance right away. They understand and are working fast. They could have ignored it and left it till full released and pissed allot of people off like other games have.



And if you would like, show some support that the company is doing all it can to clear up the problem and make an allowance to balance the overload of people.
Many other games would just leave it and limit how many people could log on to a server at one time, instead they bring it down for 2-4 hrs and totally fix everything.

But yes, that was a rather fast turn around. I'm one of the few v1.0 players who have actually got in (through a PS3 pre-order from game.co.uk as I live in the UK).

I chuckled when they brought the servers down due to the announcement not long ago that they were trying to avoid doing so. As soon as I read that announcement, combined with how many people have been having issues getting in... well .... I was expecting a visit from Mr Murphy and the rest of his clan at some point.

Yeah, so anyway, all those still waiting on codes, or those who pre-ordered from PSN (I'm not sure I'd be that brave) or those who are for some reason getting error codes... panic not. Currently your sharing you're boat with everyone else in the NA/EU area.

EDIT: I wonder if anyone's noticed yet a complete lack of any news about how Legacy v1.0 players would get in, or the lack of service details for FF XIV:ARR in the account maintenance area. How are we supposed to register our games when they arrive for PC clients. PS3 probably just get a 12 digit code... Hmm, hope they sorted the issues with the licenses for buying through PSN for launch...

Although it is frustrating that I cant play for a few hours, I don't mind the wait at all. Having a blast with the story, enjoying the fight mechanics and best of all I get to play with my friends, so a few hours is nothing compared to the hours of fun I will have thanks to this game

This. XIV is one of the first MMO's that hasn't been a hassle trying to get friends together to play. Glad SE is busting ass to get things back in check.

its 12 50 pm eastern time I am still unable to get into the servers, error 90000 turned into a blackout of all servers on screen Average person gets about an hour of play time then the server shuts you down again. Just like on the last beta test (error 3102) except now it does not say your logged in still.... It just says cant find the servers, and if you try to make a new char still no help getting in servers, I see a lot of misinformation about whats being done, and about a 3 hour matenaince but if you notice those 3 hours have already passed from the original post that said there was server work being done, Also if you log into the game and look @ bottom of log in screen @ issues there is NOTHING addressing a error 90000 then server crash, yet everyone wants to put up post saying so much popicock......I have been crashed for about 2 hours yet friends have been crashed since the early a.m. hours, So whats the deal? Are we gonna get to experience this world for more then an hour on and days off......starting to get a bit frustrated but I will sit and wait calmly please just fix this problem....... thx for that link Vyxxi I stand corrected

It is a great step forward for them to fix the issue so quickly, it would have been extremely frustrating to have had the problems with instances and instanced quests for a prolonged time, stopping people from progressing.

10:12 Pacific ;which is what they went off of for there 8 - 11 maintenance message.
Thats current time, 1 more hour.
HOWEVER
TIME HAS CHANGED FROM 8 - 11 TO 8 TO 9:55
So we should be in soon. If there in the states its about a 3min difference from me, so within next 30min.
