It's the RMT bot characters. During 1.0, there were a bunch of RMT characters around La Noscea (sp?) that stayed around the Aetheryte camps, specifically Bloodshore and the one to the south. Those RMT bot characters made up the bulk of the population of 1.0. I'm not going to lie, but I do have the feeling that is why the Legacy servers got full very quickly. The RMT bot accounts may be inactive, and those inactive characters take up the servers even if those people who control them ever decide to activate them.

To new and returning players, the bots from 1.0 had names like "Lljafljahlhklja Ikeklawotv". They had ineligible names, and the characters themselves were identical in appearance. Plus they were on auto-follow all the time. Those RMT bot characters also ABUSED the Goobbue Mount there in La Noscea, since you could obtain it for free from the Wandering Minstrel for free upon hitting Lv30. They would farm certain Levequests, especially the ones that had black sheep. They'd rush on the Goobbue mount to a spawning point, use an AOE, then summon the Goobbue again to return back to the Aetheryte (Node) and redo the same Levequest over and over again. The ones not participating in the Leve would sit around the crystal or node until the leader bot would finish the quest, then alternate. As soon as all of the characters would finish the Leve, they'd warp back to Limsa Lominsa and re-obtain the Levequest, then head back to the camp. They were also the cause for the main lag in the area and caused everything to get congested.

Anyways, that's a bit of background on those bot characters. What are everyone else's thoughts on why the Legacy servers are full? I know everyone is making new characters, but like I said, I think they were already near-filled due to the inactive RMT bot character accounts.
