    Grand Company as legacy

    Just got to the point where I'll have to decide my GC.
    I heard that if you are a legacy player, and you choose your old company, you take your rank back. Is that right?

    I'm a bit bored with Ul'dah since it's the only city I played with in almost 3 years lol
    But if they give all the ranks and points back... well it's very tempting...

    I believe you keep your rank regardless of which you choose. I chose my old one and went straight to 2nd Lt. so I know you keep your old rank if you choose your old GC but I can't say for sure if you choose another

    No if you choose a new one you go to private, you only keep rank of those you level. if you go back though you keep rank
