Lodestone 'Need Character' Error

I am unable to log in at the Lodestone's main page, as it claims I have no characters. Considering I have one this seems peculiar. I've checked around for something I may have missed and now at a loss.

Yeah, I get the same.

Though this Forum recognizes my characters just fine. It leaves me even more concerned given experiences from my job and data maintenance.

For example not sure what I missed to not be considered Legacy when I've had a v1.0 account since Sept. 24, 2010. Also further concerned because recently service information that showed I had a collector's edition of v1.0 now only mention I have FFXIV nothing about collector's edition part.

I am annoyed that I will not get early access because of whatever it was I missed. I will be royally pissed though if the claims of collector's edition 1.0 getting the in-game items does not happen for me either. Totally messed up considering I made such an effort to get friends into the game that have interest in ARR.

Positive the issue is not Browser related. It seems more database related, same message comes up if I use Opera/IE/FireFox/Chrome/etc...

That was the reason of above rant, concerned whatever controls they are doing with the database maintenance is flawed. Next thing I'm waiting to see is when release on Aug. 27th if my services which use to mention having collector's edition goes instead to not being registered at all anymore. Should comment this stuff in a separate thread, just not sure were to put it.

Yeah apparently 1.0 characters have no access to the new Lodestone until sometime after launch. In order to access it you need to link your characters to FFXIV:ARR with either a pre-order code (which we don't have) or supposed to be able to do it through the Mog Station website (which doesn't launch until after the game does.) You can see your characters and your linkshell mates there but you can't log in to interact with them or post to yours or their blogs. Don't expect they will do anything about it. It looks like a Dev hasn't responded to a single post anywhere in over 15 hours and they do have much bigger issues they need to address. Sucks but hey at least I didn't waste money buying a second copy just for "Early Access."

Eh, so a typical service side company behavior I've had to deal with at work... That is sad, acting like your friend and working to hype the product but when that last 1 mile comes they are nowhere to be found. Now I am even more concerned I'm going to get screwed out of what they claimed.

This happens to me too. I can't log in the lodestone because "I don't have a character created yet" but here in the forums, my character appears just fine and also appears in the character search result. I hope this will get fixed on or before the launch date.

I am having the same issue and i have 2 characters on sargantas and one on adamantoise.

Getting the same thing here. Hopefully it is a Lodestone issue and not a game service issue (four day weekend come up for me). My character, aside from showing up on here, appears to show up on the Mog Station. I can't log into the Lodestone itself though.

My sister is having this issue on top of the "no valid service account' error when trying to register her PS3 copy.
