Need/greed system not working properly

So I was doing halatali as Gladiator 22 and a GLA/PLD MRD/WAR LNC/DRG piece dropped but I couldnt lot Need on it, only Greed or Pass.

2nd time it happened to me.

Did they changed that in P4? In p3 I rolled need on 3 lances in the first 3 dungeon (the same lance and i won them 3)

Pretty sure they decided not to limit it based on amounts.
Only that it's class specific. GLD can't roll on Cloth items ect.

Also was it leather / chain and not plate? If so, that may also be the problem.

They made a change so you can't need lot on something that is not suitable for the class you currently play even if you can wear it.

I know for sure, in P3 you couldn't roll more than once on green item. Not sure about pink.

Pieces that are for GLA/MRD/LNC you should leave to Lancers, honestly, unless there isn't one present. Those are pieces which are INFERIOR to the GLA/MRD pieces from the same dungeon (in terms of tanking stats), but slightly better at tanking than regular Disciple of War stuff (it sets Lancers apart from Archers and Pugilists in being able to take hits slightly better).

I know for sure, in P3 you couldn't roll more than once on green item. Not sure about pink.

If an item is UNIQUE then you can only own one piece of that item.
Green items I believe are UNIQUE so you can't roll more than once on it unless you get rid of the old one first.
