Yeh played the first 4 months of 1.0 and gave up in the end, just remember combat being awful and at the time my PC really struggling to run it well. This game is a totally different experience, fantastic improvement. Only complaint I would have is the loading screens from zone to zone but I can live with that and once SE get the release day glitches sorted this game will rock.
How did someone even play this?
ikr? I played ver. 1.0 simply because I really thought the game was a little different from the generic mmo and it was in some areas. For example the battle system (although it was terribly bugged) was actually trying to be innovative a bit from the way you attacked to how you gained exp. Personally, I think they could've polished that system to give this game something unique than most other mmos don't have. Although the game has now turned into a generic mmo (not entirely but only somewhat), it's still impressively done from the way I see it. Seriously, I saw how this game literally transformed from ver. 1.0 to today. Let's just hope we get good patches/updates from here on.
Bye Bye ver. 1.0 I will miss you, thanks for the good memories.
I miss the graphical quality of 1.0... not the gameplay. and by graphical quality I am not referring to the copy/pasted areas, I mean the character models.
1.0 still has alot better graphics, artstyle and atmosphere. In that regard, FF14 ARR is a big step backwards.
I really hope it has a good end-game and some hard dungeons.
