Disappearing Chocobo Whistle

had it be for the Emergency Maintenance now it say u do not have this item and cant get the chocobo license because i used it to get the whistle

I had the same problem, but figured out that if you go to your in game menu, under character, where your inventory, armoury chest, achievements and all is located, you have to select companion. There is a command under "mount / dismount" that you can set to your hotbar and that is how you can ride your chocobo

My issue is that I cannot summon my legacy chocobo, I received it in the Mog Mail, then tried to use it, and was told "unable to summon mount", now it says I no longer have the item...
