Combat R2 trigger

Is it possible to press the R2 for the combat options and not have to keep it pressed but it will stay pressed until you press it again to cancel it.

Its hard for some people to hold it down continuously until the combat is over.

I want to know this as well. For me hold the R2 down is not hard but it is an annoyance.
