Hey guys and gals,

I've gotten to 30 with my ACN and I previously had CNJ at 50 from 1.0 but when I go to the ACN guild leader the only quest he has for me is the one for SMN! Is the SCH quest line from another NPC? I haven't accepted the summoner quest line yet because my THM is only 11 right now.

the sch quest starts from the npc BEHIND the acn guild counter, NOT the guild leader, so just turn around and you'll see her =]

Have you done all of the ACN class quests up through 30? Have you done the main storyline up through Ifrit or so? (May need to go a little further, not sure on that.)

Yeah. That's what the problem was. You have to have the level 30 class quest finished before you can do the job quests.

So... slightly off topic, but I figured you guys would be the best to answer this:

How are you dealing with attribute point distributions as an ACN? Since you can either go SCH or SUMM, I feel like duping the points into mind or int (respectively) kinda hamstrings you if you want to switch soul crystals at some point.

I realize there's the 10,000 (or whatever exact amount it is) GC points potion that resets your attributes, but that seems pretty pricey and not very "play any job you want"-y. Is it better to just split it half and half MND/INT and hope for the best?

Right now I'm putting most all of my points into mind as I'm focusing on Scholar over Summoner. Something to note is that you can use Cleric Stance as a Scholar from the Conj tree. Not sure if this would make it better to stack int and just switch over if you plan to do both. Just my 2c.

Hmm. I'm not sure cleric stance helps. Let's follow two scenarios:

1. Dump everything into MND. If you're a scholar at that point - no problems! If you decide you want to DPS / solo as a scholar, pop on cleric stance and you have a nice bump to your DPS.
BUT: if you go SUMM after dumping into MND, you're in "trouble" because *summoners can't use cleric stance* (according to the tool tip).

2. Dump everything into INT: If you're a summoner - fine and dandy!! If you are a scholar.. your healing suffers because everything is in INT. But if you use cleric stance, it'll switch MND and INT! So now you have quite a bit of MND.. but cleric stance reduces healing potency by 20% - uh oh.

So, TL;DR: cleric stance doesn't help the summoner vs. scholar skill point distribution for an arcanist
Now... if SUMMONERS could use cleric stance - totally different story; but that probably won't happen.
