Game crashes when I do alt+tab

I'm having the same issue repeatedly. I tried swapping to borderless windowed mode to see if that would help...but changing the setting also crashes the client the few times I attempted the setting change. I also never had an issue in Phase 3 or 4, just Early Access.

I fought this issue repeatedly again last night. As you said, when I was mindful of the possibility of alt+tab crashing out of full screen, I went into my settings to change to windowed first... and that crashed the client, also!

Right now when getting logged back in takes so much time and repeated attempts, it's extremely frustrating.

Right now when getting logged back in takes so much time and repeated attempts, it's extremely frustrating.

I was finally able to get fullscreen windowed mode enabled without a crash by doing the configuration on the title screen before hitting "start" to enter character selection. At least if you crash out from there, it's not quite as frustrating as crashing from within the game after probably bashing past the 1017 error for entirely too long.
