Unable to gain EXP

Incident:

When attacking random monsters (as a Lv.20 PUG), I don't seem to gather any EXP. No matter how many I defeat, the EXP bar still only says

"Lv.20 0/56600"

Aesthetically, the bar doesn't grow either.

When I switch to a different class (LNC Lv.16), I do not gain any EXP from attacking roaming monsters either.

Status:

Problem seemed to resolve itself when I went to a different area. Currently, no problems.

I have the same problem.

Incident:
The problem being the same as a Lv.20 PUG I can't get any EXP from monsters, quests or dungeons.

But if I switch to my Lv9. LNC I do get EXP without any problems.


In my case the problem did not resolve by moving to another area.

The problem disappeared after some running around in Central Thanalan and killing a few random monsters
