    Dodore claim exploit

So there is a party from the LS "The Secret Society of MIKAN" on Karnak server who could not kill Dodore, so they used the claim glitch.
One member of the party stands far enough away to not actually engage the target, but as long as that person is in active mode, they never lose the claim...
Dodore and his minions even went yellow and could hit me... but I could not engage him in any way....
This is a glitch exploit in every way, shape and form....
If you can't kill an NM... then don't tie him up from other people... especially not using a glitch exploit

screen shot of the group that was doing the exploit.

they would keep him tagged somehow with 1 person in active mode while the others would keep dieing and running back wait on sickness and repeat. the worst part about watching this is the fact that dodore's adds would not regen.

Easy way to solve this is to move all NM's to BCNM encounters, or instance them with a pop item.

Of course they didn't want to lose the claim to someone else, I'm sure if the situation had been reversed you would have done the same.

Free roam big monsters is what this game and 11 was all about! Stuff like this makes the game fun, dangerous, and interesting. The competition is what makes the game fun for me and many others.

I'm going to have to disagree, camping and claim wars over NMs - even minor ones - was the single most aggravating, LEAST fun part of 11 and I really, really hope this game doesn't fall into the same trap.

It was aggravating, but sometimes when you did claim something it was so exciting. I just hope they have a mix, so if you want to try and get an item this way, you can, but you have other options.

There are better ways to solve it than simply putting everything into dungeons or using pop items. They just need to make it so when a mob goes unclaimed that it can actually be claimed by someone else. They probably purposefully put this in the game to prevent "NM stealing" GM calls from happening all the time, but it's a dumb feature.

Let me explain how NM work Jinko,

NM have a spawn window, they only spawn in that window
From engagement you have 30 minutes to kill before it rages and starts hitting for 9,999
If it unclaims outside the spawn window, it despawns.

So by holding it and not killing it, they just make it so no one can get it.

LOL you think I don't know how these NM's work ?

Considering the game only has like 5 NM's and dungeons are being added I doubt its the only way it will work, lets not forget that 11 had plenty of BCNM and NM's which were spawned in instances (nyzel/promyvion) and popped by items as well.

Also the reason why most MMO's out there have raid bosses and dungeon bosses are to stop this kind of shit happening in the first place, roaming NM's also provide very little in the way of danger as most people know where they are anyway and its kind of hard to miss that great big aggro icon floating above their head.
