Gilgamesh locked?

It's obviously to control server population, but it still sucks because it ruins one of the biggest draws for MMOs for many people: the social aspect of playing with their friends. We're in the very first hours of early access (AKA "launch" for the most part) and people are already forced to split up (and later reroll or pay to transfer if they want to play together) or not play at all.

And actually, at this very second, every single NA/EU world is locked.

This is worse IMO.
I would like to make a character and play to play the game. BUT I wont have access to the character creation screen and see when my server will be up.
So I have to wait, click the refresh every 5 min and hope

Has anyone been able to make toons on giglamesh today after 6am pst? there new tweet says they keep locking the server for new toons but for me has been locked all day.

Gilgamesh and Moogle are closed all day, SE don't respond tweet and forum posts. Simply late it go, they will do what they want, no help. The worst company ever!!!!!!!!!

I know a ton of people were trying for Gilgamesh and must have flooded it during beta/first minutes of early access, but to have it be locked for the entire day just seems crazy.

The maximum expected population limit is nearing for each World, and unless the current World simultaneous connection amount decreases, we are unable to open release the limitation.

In case we do release the limitation, there is a high chance that the corresponding World will crash or cause issues, and we are thinking that it will be difficult for us to release it for a while.

He really think we are idiot. Yesterday 5/6 of the world were lock at peak hour.
May please you consider upgrading your servers ? What it gonna happen when the game will be "release" ?

Well it has been over 24 hours of trying to get on the same server as my friends. I think I'm pretty much done with FFXVI
