    companion chocobo unlock ?

    So I did the ifrit fight and joined the immortal flames, from what ive seen this is when you get your companion chocobo too but im not seeing anything anywhere, just more quest lines with minfilia, is it a side quest ?

    Continue with the quests with Minfilia and you'll eventually see 3 representatives of each Grand Company asking you to join one of them. Soon after, you'll be able to farm company credits, mainly through FATEs. Collect 1000 of the credits and you can buy a Chocobo from the Grand Company NPC you've chosen earlier. A quest will then be activated, leading you to the Chocobo Trainer (the one who rents Chocobo and lets you use Chocobo Porter). Complete the quest and you'll obtain a whistle to summon your chocobo as mount. Taa-daa!
