3 servers already locked down less than 45 minutes after launch? WTF?

It is indeed ridiculous. I mean it's great that so many people wanna play the game but i pre-ordered the game for the early-access got up early and now the server "Odin" is blocked after 30minutes of early access launch and my friends and the community that i am in decided on that server.
So now I have to wait for the server to open up again or play on a different server which is not what i want.

I just hope the servers open up again in a few hours after SE got the servers stable again because everyone is creating and playing in the starting zones.

The reason they lock the servers is the condensed nature of the starting areas, where people are first put in after creating their character. Tell people to move away from the area and they'll unlock it. (Sorry that's snarky, and doesn't help you much.)

From observation, that's when the queues will kick in even at full server capacity.

They should use a queue system - sitting and refreshing the servers every 3 minutes is extremely obnoxious.

Seems kinda weird at the moment.
For me the server Odin is not grey anymore but it still says no new characters allowed on the server.

Guess we just have to wait they seem to just try to not make the starting areas a pain.

Same issue here.

I was up early, willing to play that early access. Especially since i could not play the open beta..
Well here i am, no problem with accessing the loby, and "start" the game, watching that introduction, creating my character.. and then the horrible news.. " new characters cannot be made on this world at this time"
I tried on Moogle (EU), that's where i wanna play, no way i try it elsewhere

It's been almost 2 hours now. I could start on another server but i WONT PAY for a migration, and i wont move my character (if possible) in like 6 monts or so ~~.


So, i'm sitting here, waiting, not playing... it's allready boring fix it please u_u

This is seriously pissing me off, SE should have foreseen this coming. They should at least increase the capacity of the popular server rather than forcing people into servers they clearly don't want to. What really piss me off is the fact there no communication between SE and us. At least let us know the situation is being work on.
