State of FFXIV as of 4-9-2011

How am i being negetive when i'm stating the facts? Yes i know it takes time to creat content, Yes, SE released the game in Alhpa state, Yes, people are leaving the game. (I do logg in for a bit maybe 30 min tops, but just bored with it). EVERYONE would like to see endgame content.

I just want the game to want me to play. I loved FFXI played it for 5 years.

So maybe i'm exspecting to much from the game. I could never understand why you wouldn't take FFXI content and tweak it a little and put it into FFXIV. Hell even put WoW content and tweak it as well. Seems like a win win to me.

I'm not waiting for endgame. I could careless So don't speak for me I just want to play. I spent money on CE and can't even play it since my pc broke. You causing uneeded doom and gloom, and your opinion isn't truth.

take a break if the game bores you. check back after a while. You're just stressing yourself out.

I could never understand why you wouldn't take FFXI content and tweak it a little and put it into FFXIV.

1. Because FFXI content would not work with the current battle system.
2. Because FFXIV's battle system is being redesigned, therefore content cannot be made that will work in the long run.
3. It's a hell of a lot harder to port things from one project to another than all of you with no programming experience believe. Most of the time it's better to start from scratch and build from the ground up than it is to port. Especially going from an older generation game. It's running on old tech that has to be completely overhauled. Content does not appear over night. It does not appear in a month. There's a huge process things have to go through before they see the light of day.
4. Please do let the door hit you on the way out.

Even if I'm taking a break I check almost every news soruce I can daily just to keep up on the news, really the suspence is whats killing me rather than anything else.

I think i might be JADED. So I'm going to afk a bit i will keep up on the game but not post for a bit. I do want the game to be Fricken Awesome!!!!!,. Just going to take some time. But most, not all, but most of what i said is true. Also ya i get the boiling water but i was being funny and stating the obvious..

if you guys want the game to be awesome, don't post doom and gloom. SE already heard it, all they want is construtive posts about what you do like in game and what changes or ideas. give details. Maybe talk about what you do like a bit. If you don't like anything ffxiv has to offer, then take a break. Promoting the game a bit will help it become awesome. We are doing better with the FFXIV SS post, we could sure use more of those type of threads maybe player made vids. Even if you just promote how the game looks. One reason this game "sucks" is all the negativity. It kinda is a buzzkill for those who do like the game who also know it can improve.

You are wasting your breath... it is a downside of NA players they all think thier opinion is the most important thing ever and they have to make sure everyone hears their voice.

We feel it is important to repeat the same thing at least 100 times, 300 times if the other party addresses the problem and say a fix it on the way.... it makes sense without constant complaining they will forget the playerbase hates it..................... (lots of dots for the stupidity of the statement but I honestly belive this is the mentality of most NA players now).

Atm The current posters I would say on the forum are about 30% fanbase, 55% disgruntled fanbase venting, 10% forum trolls being completely worthless causing the drama... I simply do not get forum trolls they need to get a life, and 5% of the people dedicated to make sure the game fails, these people the mods need to strait up ban.

Until the whole 70% of those number quit, leave, or the game is fixed and they change their category the forums will continue to be a cesspool of garbage. The forum needs much much more moderation... we do not need anymore threads saying the game is not good, broken, horrible.... I think every single person here on these forums knows it is not good enough. A reasonable complaint should be allowed and to be discussed, a FFXIV sucks post with no substance or thread posting about how the game sucks needs to be immediately deleted and the poster warned. Honestly this thread needs to be locked, there is nothing positive that can come from this. There is nothing the devs can use, it is harmful to the community, and has attracted every troll on the ffxiv forums now.
