    What do you think?
I like it, I've been thinking if there were other ways and abilities that could work to Solidify a monster so it could be gather from with gathering, "Mummify" or "Preserve" (it's used in DoH already however it could be need to be adjusted a lot). Sounds good and it would be a much needed additions to the class abilities to. Then imply something like "Path of the Hunter" that then would invites more changes and more growth, so I hope the reps or devs see this or are thinking something similar should be done someday.

You know, I thought this over last night. I haven't reached that point yet, but I have read that the LVL 18 quest "Fade to White" ends in you selecting a companion. I have also read that so far, this companion is just added to cutscenes? Not sure, but maybe that is where the Devs could throw your companion in! You go to a suitable tree and with your companions 'help' you saw the tree down. This requires a new animation that the Dev's could have fun with. Plus adds in the possiblility of Logging camps!

Again, all of this would be much more interesting as a group activity, but hey, we'll take what we can get, right?

Again, rank vs. grade of tree would determine gathers/time tree is still there to gather? Or...

A logging camp where there are NPCs who, for a fee, would assist you in cutting the tree down, or prehaps you must provide the saw and be the proper rank and the NPCs 'cut' the tree for you and you then just gather to your hearts content? I don't know.

DEVs: Just let us cut the dang trees down! Thats how lumberjacks do it! The whole tree. Down. Cut down. TEH HEH! K, I'll stop ranting!
@Dras6fin : Thanks for the quick replies! I am glad you still care.

Special Items; For Gathering Purposes & Activities.
details: a specific item is produced/made by a specific monster, then enters the environment, which in turn can be collected by Botanists/Dol.

1.) Spores: It is a small fuzzy ball that seems to be dance in the wind. Produced by Funguars and other creatures of the wood; only while gathering can it be seen by Botanist's and it's spores obtained can be gathered. Spore will take on many different colors and have different purposes for craftier to; greens spores, yellow spores, orange spores, purple spores (possibility depends on the funguars that release it). Spore can be seen from all across Eorzea, for trained botanist's this changing the way he/she Gathers; to see things from what others who don't gather wouldn't see.

Activity: "Follow The Spores!" (*example) "Sometime but not all the time a bunch are together, when you're character attempts to approaches A Strong Gust of Wind blows them all away! scattered in all directions. That is the starting sign the activity has begun "Follow the Spores!".
