    [dev1017] Crafting in bulk

I just had a thought -- for those of you who have played FFXI and crafted, you might remember you were able to buy certain key items with Guild Points that allowed you to craft multiple of the same items in bundles. I don't think it helped you save any crafting materials, but you save the time of having to do the synths one at a time.

I think this would be an equally useful training manual to purchase from the guilds for each respective class. These training manuals could produce maybe 3-4 items at a time? That seems fair. What do you all think?

They should just improve Hasty Hand. Get rid of the retarded 100%/50% durability loss on a fail. Then more people would use Hasty Hand on lots of low synths.

Yeah but the problem with that is, while hasty hand can be a fast way to make things when its not failing, you still have to do them one at a time.

great idea, that way you could make stacks of items at a time, that would hasten local levequests, but how would they calculate exp and skill, per item or per attempt?

Yoshi made mention of bulk instant synths being added in the future
and somehow i think itl relate to alot of "materials" that we are past level on to gain sp anyway

    like lumber...nuggets....and such

I don't think bulk synthing is something they should just hand over to people. Make it a skill obtained at rank 50 on any DoH.

The way it was in FFXI was cool. You couldn't syntesis every item in bulk, and for some, it was totaly useless to use the key item. Like for Arrows and Bolts. For a normal Arrow Synth it was 33 NQ, 66 HQ1 and 99 HQ2. If you wanted to make Gil with Arrows and Bolts and Bullets, you were depend on HQ's. But if you used the Bulk-Synth, you made 99 Arrows at once. Like if you crafted 33 NQ Arrows at once. No chance to HQ

For lumber though, it was a different story. Or for fletchings. Or yarn. There you were able to HQ, even with a Bluk-Synth. And that was pretty time saving.

But you had to buy those Key Items for Points. Similar to Guild Mark. It took some effort to get those Key Items. It wasn't something you just got when you hit a certain level.

So they just could make it Trainings again. Buyed with GM. And of course not for every item. Just for the Mass-Items. Glue, Fletchings, Lumber, Ingots and so on. And not available on Crafting Leves.
