These restrictions are in place because of the piss-poor behavior of posters in the Beta Genital (General) Forums. If the community has proven itself to be civil, the mods will likely lift the restrictions.

That makes no sense. Restricting post count doesn't make people prioritize happy thoughts.

I agree. I've been wanting to post on these forums for a while and to get hit with the limit is pretty lame. Maybe it'll change in the future after everything is settled after launch.

I don't think it silly... you have 10x more newbe/trolls posting usless crap at lower lvs then high lv endgamers..... Don't for get a good 75% of the ppl that will be playing are all 1.0 come backs with high lv's..

I believe this is to avoid RMT from spamming by making an account and spamming the forums as level 1. Since sometimes RMT are bold enough to spam official forums over and over with level 1 accounts.

It doesn't make people have happy thoughts, but it does cut down on the number of threads that were getting posted every second such as...

...and the list goes on and on and on.

Seriously, before the restrictions were put in place, every time there was an issue, new dev post, news, video, etc. there's at least 10 new topics being posted about it every 5 minutes. It was seriously just that bad and if people really can't control themselves, like they proved thus far they can't, the devs have to do something to keep the forums manageable.

You mean the mods don't want to properly moderate the forums so they feel they have to inconvenience the well behaved users as much as possible, because the trolls won't care about post limits and they will post as much as possible whilst we can't have proper discussions. We will already have only subscribers, whereas the beta forum was anyone that wanted to sign up (most of which we will never see again) so effectively no limitations, therefore more trolling.
