Error 3. How is this still a problem?

Been having this issue with my wife's account as well. And unfortunately I wasn't paying the most attention while trying to get it to go through, and processed her PC pre-order code as a PS3 code instead, which of course went through instantly. I find it weird that their pre-order code system will allow a user to pre-order a PC version (29.99) and apply the code to the PS3 version (39.99). So now I either have call SE up and try to get it fixed or dump another $30 to get the version she needs to play the game. This feels so backwards.

Cancel and re-order to get a new code is your best bet. Contacting SE on launch day... you going to need more than the powers of the crystals.
