Servers with NA / Oceanic players in it

Hi guys. It's good to finally be back to FFXIV. I'm in a bit of a dilemma though. I'm in Masamune server which has a good mix of NA and Oceanic players, but my friends who are joining the game can't join it since it is a legacy server and a bit congested. So we are looking for alternative servers which has a good mix of NA / oceanic players like Masamune. Any of you guys have any ideas?

So far we have been looking at Tonberry, can anyone confirm if this can be a good alternative to Masamune just in case Masamune still won't open during early access? or will I be able to transfer my character from Masamune to Tonberry if ever Tonberry became our new home server? would appreciate some advise Thanks :-)

i think i read somewhere, because some ppl complained about it lol, that legacy players would have to wait 3 weeks before being able to world transfer. from game start date i think.

2-3 Weeks till the World Transfer will be availiable
6 Months till Chars from Legacy Worlds will be able to transfer to non legacy worlds

hmm most world had the login restriction in phase 4 to avoid crash due to high volume of people log in. You might want see how it goes at early access/ launch. Sometime need try several time or patient to get into server u want . 1.0 launch was that way, a few hour some server can't enter but later on can. As far as oceanic/NA mix. I do say amsamune has a very huge volume, follow by tonberry. Behemoth and Sargatanas was voted too by oceanic community, but not as high. So see what u like .

Oh so tonberry also has a good mix of North America and oceanic players in it? cool. Although Moriandrio said as a legacy player in a legacy server I will have to wait 6 months for transfer ouch. I don't want to start a new character lol. My character is not leet. I only got legacy status cuz I wanted to support 2.0 so I did not cancel my subrscription even when I was no longer playing. But I also want to play with my friends since they were the one who made me play this game from the start lol

Hey Garet,
I can confirm Tonberry has a large number of Oceanic players in it. There are several really large Oceanic FC/LS's (100+ members) on the server, the latency is also better than NA servers for Oceanic players.

Only issue is that Tonberry is pretty full and always at max capacity of players so it may be hard for your friends to get in, I do however highly recommend it.

Thanks we actually already made some characters in Tonberry to reserve our spots during phase 4 open beta lolz. but the problem for me is my main character is in Masamune and I don't like to start over and let all my work in 1.0 go to waste lol. So either they are able to create characters in masamune or I transfer to Tonberry etc. But as someone posted legacy players have to wait 6 months ouch.

BTW Mountaindew, are there also a lot of NA players in Tonberry cuz they will be moving to the U.S shortly so we wanted a server like Masamune which has both Oceanic (Aussie, SG etc) and NA (U.S players) in it. thanks

Haha nah they did not leave me. Funny story, they convinced me to play way back during 1.0 so I bought CE but then they got busy and did not like what they saw (can't really blame them) so they backed out. I on the other hand just kept on playing since I'm a final fantasy fan anyway and when they announced 2.0 it gave me hope and so I continued casually so that when 2.0 comes I will not grind so much anymore haha. But they really like 2.0 now and also pre-ordered :-) Btw we partied a bit during early release Seirra though I doubt u remember me. I only played casually cuz of lag bugs boring leves etc. lol Good to see you here
