Unable to register my 18 digit pre-order code.

So I got my 18 digit pre-order code, and I keep getting Error 3 when I attempt to register it. I know many are getting this error, however when I go into my account settings at the top of the screen, it shows Final Fantasy XIV ARR in the "My Games" section, with a registration date of today.

I never got my 20 digit code, but it looks like it kind of took my 18 digit code. Should I just wait for an email now? Or keep trying to submit my 18 digit code?

You already redeemed it, but you can always redeem it again to see the code. Just hit refresh/F5 if it says Error 3 and put the code again.

So does that mean I should be getting an email with the new 20 digit code? I can F5 for a while if needed, but if the email is coming I can wait. I just don't want to wait if there is no email coming.

They will send you the e-mail. Chances are its on your junk inbox. But it takes quite a while and it would be faster for you to refresh. Of course that mean they will send you the same code again on your mail but thats' easy to delete.

Redeeming it seems to be a 2 stage process behind the scenes.The first stage adds it to your profile as you saw, the second generates you a 20 character EA code.

I would keep retrying like the above said, but I don't think it's even generated your 20 character code yet so I doubt you'll get an email yet. Mine originally did what yours did on Monday, but wasn't until trying a few times on Wednesday did I get it to generate the 20 character code. The email confirmation didn't arrive until late Thursday, so when it appears on screen, be sure to write it down!

Hey ive had the error 3 problem up until now but it states under my profile that the game was registered on 8/24. Does this mean The code worked, and if so, why haven't i gotten my 20 digit code yet. Its been almost 2 hours.

Wow, thats really stupid . But does that means it worked? Ive never got pass the error 3 screen.

"Error 3 FIX Submitted by Kaayl this has worked now for a number of folks. "What finally worked for me was editing my profile settings. Basically, after going to the pre-order code entry site and picking your language, it asks you to log in. After you log in (you may need to fill in some information) it'll take you to the code entry page. Instead of entering the code, I clicked my newly chosen handle in the upper right corner of the page. That displayed a drop down, and I clicked the "My Profile" option. That took me to the profile details page. I filled in the information there and noticed that my language was set to English (UK). I changed that to English (US), saved my information, went back to the pre-order page, and was able to enter in my code without any problems."

if that still doesnt work try switching it back to English (UK) if it was set to English (US) should fix the problem for error 3 and give u the 20 digit code on the following page
