...What's so special about this quest? I saw people mentioning it on the Beta forums so I was wondering what the big deal is.

It's the quest you undertake to unlock your job specific relic weapons.

It's the quest you undertake to unlock your job specific relic weapons.

Relic weapons and their +1 upgrades are, as far as everyone knows, the best weapons in the game. They get the name relic because they're supposed to be ancient long lost recipes or something along those lines. There is a long quest called A Relic Reborn that takes you on the path to obtaining a single weapon. You can get each weapon for each class, but expect to be doing it for a long time ^_^

This is actually a good thing though, as long as its not rife with RNG like some games and is a quest with actual progression it can keep a lot of people busy for a long time, not so long for the hardcore maybe though.

So are the +1 drop-only or do you upgrade it yourself or is there a random chance for which one you get from the quest (regular or +1), or how does that work?
