Registering issue - Error 3: There was a problem. Please try again later

This has been the hardest I've ever worked for any game to get working.

Finally found out where my serial key # is. Enter it on the http://preorder.na.finalfantasyxiv.com/ website. Get the Error 3: There was a problem.

I suppose it's better than "Error 37" but still just as useless as an error message. What in the world is Error 3?

Just keep trying and you will get through. I was able to get mine through on the 2nd attempt. The servers may be a bit weird as there are random people who have waited until the last moment to get their pre-order.

I had the same problem, and it fixed itself on the second try. My wife, on the computer right next to mine, has been trying for 20 mins and keeps getting this error. WTF?

i had the same thing, my wife's has not had a problem, i keep getting that error now for three days as i randomly try. now with crunch time, ive been at it for two hours trying all i can.

Same issue here. even canceled my order and bought a new on for a new code, since I noticed it didn't even charge my bank account. But I have tired every fixed that they mentioned on other forums. Nothing seems to work

Of course, tried again and again and again ... this is probably attempt #30, no exaggeration.

But anyone else noticed this?

- In IE 10, it makes me enter the 3rd set of letters of the serial key only when I retry. Even after log off and on again manually

- In Chrome, it makes me enter the 3rd and last set of letters / numbers. Even after log off and on again manually

yes, i noticed something like that for it starting to auto fill differently between browswers. firefox you need 3rd and 4rth group.

There is NO excuse for me having to enter an 18 digit code enough times that I've memorized it.
