yes there have been other posts on this error but there is not yet a fix and its starting to get silly.

Every post I have seen about this the person has ended up resorting to downloading the game via torrent or taking it off of another computer. Please tell me there is a solution that is in the works?

Things I have tried: reinstalling fresh, deleting the patch files, setting read only to off on the file folder, AV off, Firewall off, msconfig to kill BG programs on reboot.

This works fine on my laptop and my ps3 but not my main computer, this has been an issue for me since beta day one and I am getting pretty sick of it.

I am sorry you are still having issue with the patching, but starting another thread when there is already 3 of them on same topic doesn't get you help faster. And you know this but doing it anyway ...really?

all of the other posts had fallen back several pages. bumping posts and liking posts about this issue dont seem to be doing much. normally I am right there with you about people starting new threads for existing issues but honestly for a problem I have had this long (and posted about int he correct forum bumping existing threads every time in beta) it seemed the right thing to do.
