Good luck with that I have been trying to get them to fix mine after my account history was deleted back in the middle of 2012. Hell I have a 1.0 CE and my account does not even show that any more.
Yeah I'm a little worried about this mess up with all accounts. Also had a 1.0 CE and participated to Alpha AND Beta phases.
I just hope it does all end up well, but I'm under the impression at the moment that they will fail at giving us what we expect :S
And don't get me wrong on this one, I mean. I do understand it is a LOT to manage, after all it's a re-release and it gets really popular ... but yeah, plz Square-Enix, we shouldn't have to go through all this to get Customer Services. I mean, c'mon ... dropped me off the Chat Support 3 times without any clue as to why you just skipped my request, and haven't answer any single of my 2 emails sent through support.
I'm a Team Lead of a Maintenance team, I do know that if you let a customer go all out to reach you, the cost for actually answering will go exponential. At this point in time, I've taken time from 3 of your agents, 2 others from reading the email I sent, and then I'll have to give a phone call through your Phone Support services because the online help wasn't of any help. Calculate all that in, and you're losing money just to give me a simple 5$ pre-order access and a "Legacy" mention to my account. I'm even saying Hey ... I'll pay the regular subscription if you want, I don't mind at all, but please let other players know I was part of this game's history ... just please do so.
Drekster, are you absolutely sure that you don't have TWO accounts? Did you check like Norack suggested previously? Based on the fact that it says you started in August 2013 means that you're probably logged into the wrong account. If that is the case, you could probably just log out of this one, and into your legacy account. I hope it works for you.
I think I may know what the problem is, From what I know and have seen many people do, you probably had 2 FFXIV accounts, your 1.0 legacy account. And somehow people made a second account for when alpha/beta started and they screwed up and put there beta codes on that new account.
If this is true that means that you are playing on your new beta account that you would of indeed created just this month. And you are not using your 1.0 account. In which case all you would have to do is see if you can go into your account management and somehow merge or re activate your old 1.0 legacy character? I have seen this happen many times , although sorry I don't know how to fix it but it sounds like this is probably your problem, if you send SE another E-mail i would put that you might of done that to. Cause I think SE knows about this problem but if you get someone at customer service that doesn't really care than he will just say no u don't get it, and that be the end of it.
But this would probably be the most likely cause as #1 it says you joined just this month. And #2 you have absolutely (well you have some but not alot) nothing on that character, and if you are legacy i would expect you to have allot more on a character.
Just logged back in using the exact same account information I've been using since 2009 in FFXIV Alpha version (AND THE AUTHENTICATOR KEY, that I got from 1.0 CE). Account got merged with PlayOnline account I had during the early days of Final Fantasy 11.Drekster, are you absolutely sure that you don't have TWO accounts? This forum account says joined August 2013, while in my Square-Enix Account Management system displays payment information from 2010.
Always using the exact same account credentials and authenticator key. If I do have a second account, I can't see any way for me to figure it out :S
You definitely have a second account. You have a beta account that you're posting on now, and your Legacy account. Here is a thread with someone else with the same problem:Just logged back in using the exact same account information I've been using since 2009 in FFXIV Alpha version (AND THE AUTHENTICATOR KEY, that I got from 1.0 CE). http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ounts-question!
Now the real question is how to deactivate your beta account that you're logged into now and switch to the legacy. Remember, you can have more than 1 FFXIV service attached to the same login. Can you post a screenshot of your service page?
Sure give me a minute
There you go!

Thanks! What about when you log into the lodestone and select your default character? Try seeing if you can select your Legacy character under the old lodestone settings page.

I just went and looked up my account history and here is what it lists as well as my Service Account page looks the same as yours, missing the legacy icon.

Seems to me something is missing, as I know that when I did cancel my account it was around the middle of April 2012, I sure hope someone at SE sees this as something needs to be done about this soon.
