    44 DRG from 1.0, where should I start?

    For those that explored more of Eorzea during the beta phases. Is there some part of main quest that I can jump into with a high level or should I just use leves and dungeons to get to 50 and then worry about the main story with a lower class? Are the area levels pretty much the same? Can I just head out to eastern La Noscea and find some appropriated level guildleves to do?

    You'll know exactly what to do just following the main scenario questline. Your 44 DRG will not be able to be used to full effect until you reached that high into the main scenario, anyway. I suggest you focus on leveling another class until you reached that point.

    As Riposte has said, you'l be directed to the proper content in time. What you may not know is that the story-quests have been completely redone and as such there isn't a part of the main quest that you can "jump into" with a high level. You'l be presented with the main scenario as you create your character and you may then follow it to progressively the majority of the game's features (airships, chocobos, Grand Company, etc...).
