Do retainers stay online when you're not?

Title says it all; trillions of gil are on the line here. Also, do they stay on after maintenance? Thanks.

I'm going to recall information from 2 years ago, so sorry if I'm wrong but... in 1.0, retainers stayed online when you were offline, but went offline during maintenance.

Your retainer is always active until you decide to delete it.

In early 1.0, the Market Wards would sometimes get reset during maintenance, so retainers would get dismissed from the Market Wards. That was a glitch, and they fixed it in 1.0. In ARR, there are no Market Wards, so your retainers don't disappear when they do maintenance.
