SQUARE ENIX MEMBERS ID/SQUARE ENIX ACCOUNT ERROR

I am unable to link my SQUARE-ENIX MEMBERS ID to my SQUARE-ENIX Account because whenever I try to log in to the Members site using my SQUARE-ENIX Account information, it brings me to this page: https://membership.square-enix.com/users/edit, and refuses to save my "Nickname" because it claims it is already taken.

It will claim that "ANY" Nickname is already taken even if it's a random string of letters and numbers and I am unable to proceed to the registration page for FFXIV early access.

I have already gone to Square-Enix support and put in a ticket and waited in que for 3 hours at the end of which I was told that no representatives are available and to "please try again later" ...

Can any of the Devs PLEASE help me out? I talked to some friends and apparently I'm not the only one experiencing this problem.

if u didnt link it already just try creating a new account and link your ID with it

I did create a new account, but that only gets me my early access code, and doesn't allow me to link my PS3 version with my actual account. =(

Hi my girlfriend is having the EXACT same issue we have made 2 accounts now when we sign in it tells us to make a nick name no matter what nickname we make even bashing on the keyboard it says the name is in use. It says the the account is not registered even tho we have 2 emails confirming registration is complete.

Yeah, originally I went through the process and it confirmed that I had registered, but it still brings me back to the same exact page and claims I need to make a new Nickname... it's very frustrating, especially after sitting through a tech support que for 3 hours...

Do you know if they will be open tomorrow Kittra? I see on their SE support center they're open normal office hours are like 9:00-18:00 Monday -friday just wasn't sure if they would be open tomorrow as it is the early access. I agree its so frustrating cant get passed this bloody nickname thing to make an account my gf just bought a PS3 especially for this game aswell.

I'm not sure if they're open tomorrow, but I won't be around during their operating hours anyways for the next couple days...
As a legacy player I can get early access to the game... but I can't register my collector's edition for the PS3. =(

(I also bought a PS3 specifically for this game, it's sad that this error exists.)

I've been having this same problem too since yesterday. I can't finish logging in because it won't let me save a nickname, even though I already saved a nickname previously. I even tried creating a new account, but even when I put in an email address I know isn't registered, it tells me that the email is already taken.

I put in an email ticket with SE about it, but I probably won't get a response until after EA is over. I just wonder how I will get a product code if I can't register the preorder code before they pull down the site.

I am overly stressed with this issue. I just want to play. Has anyone had any luck resolving it?
