That's what I thought at first, but as I didn't play with AA before, dropping just one graphic setting and cranking AA gave me the appearance of being better graphics. I stumbled into it after reading about the toll that General Draw Quality takes on the GPUs. I also got about a 10 degree C drop in GPU temp, and is the actual reason I made the change. When I noticed the loss of lag in the UI, I returned to my old settings to confirm it, and sure enough, the UI was extremely unresponsive again. To put it in perspective, I'm using an i5, 4gb RAM, GTX460 768mb GDDR5, so I at least WAS pushing the extreme edge of what my computer can handle before I dropped general draw quality.
