Using HDMI. A lot of games now a days have a setting under the video setting to adjust scaling, horizontal and vertical (or ask you to set it up the first time you play) Hopefully SE implements this so I can adjust it to see the bottom of the chat screenYou should see what your Display Settings are in the main settings. If you're using the Composite (Yellow White Red) it's probably doing that because it's only a 520p. If you're using Component (RGB+WR) then it's up to your TV's capability (mine maxes out at 1080i and is set to 1080i). If you're using HDMI, I have no idea what the problem could be.

You should double-check what your HDMI settings on, try messing with them, and then see if it works better.
I'll try tomorrow when the game launches but I don't think that is the issue, all my other games & movies I play on it are fine. I just think SE vertical scaling settings for the game is off a little bit which causes the bottom of the screen to get cut off a little bit when in the game. Don't really notice it much until you go to use the chat screen
I'm also using HDMI. My ps3 wants to display in 1080p, and I'm wondering if this isn't somehow the problem, since ffxiv on the ps3 only runs at 720p. Apparently the ps3 will often upscale games (from what I've read). So I'm going to try to make the ps3 run in 720p (this is what DIDN'T change the client at all) to see if that will help with the game cutting stuff off.
