Early access for 1.0 members?

I bought the collectors edition when the game first came out, pre-ordered it. I played it for a few months while it was still free, but decided to stop playing.

In the beta, I still had my 1.0 character and it was on a legacy server. I'm worried that I won't be able to log in for early access. I haven't received a code yet, and early access is tomorrow.

I can't find a straight answer anywhere saying if 1.0 players will be able to log in tomorrow or not, so I'm asking here. If so that's great, problem solved. If not, it's BS considering I bought the collectors edition for $70 when the game first came out, and I'm not buying a second copy.

I believe that only pre-order and legacy get early access, im not sure about 1.0, hopefully someone can clear this up for you

Legacy status are 1.0 players that paid at least 3 months of subscription fees back when everyone decided to abandon ship. SE didn't have to but they decided to reward that loyalty by giving them early access. So the 1.0 CE players that have legacy status pretty much paid around $100. (The regular digital download arr is $29.99 - close in what it cost)

And ask one of the EU people that got a NA code if you can have their NA code. Well unless you are EU then ask one of the NA people who got a EU code if you can have it. Good luck!

Well from the sounds of it, that's a pretty strong "nope". I hate to sound negative, because that always gets downvotes and people disagreeing with you, but personally I think it is absolutely ridiculous. The game that I paid 70 bucks for originally is now useless because the game no longer exists. The game was F2P for around a year, and because it wasn't good enough for me to stick with it for that year plus three months of paid subscription, I don't get early access. Did people who bought the game when it first came out not support it by buying it, and at a much higher price than they're selling it for now? I'm very disappointed with how they decided to do this.

No problem. And I wouldn't say it is useless. You just don't get early access, right? That's only a few days of play time till the release. Perhaps not as useful but not completely useless either. Good luck getting an early access code from someone. Lots of people from EU got an NA code and then it got fixed so you might have decent luck getting one if you keep asking a few people.

You can pre-order off amazon and they'll send you a code, then just cancel the pre-order. Boom free early access.

Well I am a 1.0 user like the original poster and I played the Phase 3 and 4 and was still waiting to see the button to upgrade for CE, I don't think they really care that we did all that. It just seems like we get no empathy. I will wait till launch and follow the cues to upgrade my 1.0, but really SE? Oh and they deleted my last post I guess I hit a nerve.

Yea, I can't help but sit and stare at my CE edition 1.0 box, this character creation screen, thinking how they didn't even buy me dinner or kiss me before F***ing me again.

And only granting access to those who purchased three months from January 2012 to September 2012 is crass, especially since 1.0 came out in 2010.
