11/11 event thoughts?

I would think most people would like to forget about the old terrible version of the game. Then again celebrating it getting blown up isn't the worst thing I guess

I like the idea of that. It would be nice if they made like a memorial garden or something, provided a small quest chain where you perhaps have to honor the fallen and such...maybe give a small reward like a piece of vanity gear or even consumable fireworks or something of the sort just to remember the event and celebrate. It would be a nice gesture. I never played 1.0 but I do like the idea behind the lore it would bring to the game. That truly would make it feel like a world in its own right.

OT: I think this would be a great idea! As someone who has only known ARR, I think an event like this would help new players understand, and gain a sort of respect for, the importance of Dalamud's fall for both the game's world, and the game itself.

The original game may have been bad for most, but there's no doubt that its ending was heart felt as even the manliest of players cried during that final CS.
I think it'd bring old and new players to a better understanding though, and the new people could experience a portion of the feels one way or another.

Bringing everyone together to respect the fallen would be nice, and the ideas others are sharing in the thread are so cool too!

It's already in the game. You travel to the other Grand Companies asking the leaders if they support some memorial for the people that were lost that day. Of course, that was a story event. I'd like to celebrate it though for real. "Meteor(Dalamud)fall Day".
