Not showing my main character in 'select a service account' step

I got the digital dl from psn so I don't have any keys to fiddle with. I have the CE edition already applied to my account per my psn account management info.

Yes I was worried about the main char on registration but if you think about it the game doent know what your main would be. Setting up my profile in this forum is the first time I selected a certain character as a main :/

Well, with the keys everything went rather well for me regarding the major problems some had/have, so I am "only" stuck on that other problem.

True about the game not knowing which is my main Char, but the game should list all my chars I think and I would like to select my Main among them, cause if that wouldn't be a needed/important step in the process why should that step be there in the first place...

I just get more confused about the whole thing the longer I try to find a solution, reading quite a number of threads, German and English, with nearly the same problem, some solution ideas etc.
Maybe I should just log off and see what's going on tomorrow...

If its only showing your JP char it should be fine because that was a char you created on your beta p4 account correct? And does It show that account to merge too? You shouldn't be worried that its showing a diff char because the game has no way of knowing which is your main hence showing the last character you created. I think as long as it shows a character from that p4 account you created it will be fine. But waiting may be a wiser choice just to be sure.

You say its fine but its trying to attach the items to a character that doesn't exist anymore.
I deleted the character its attempting the early access/Preorder stuff to and I don't want to accept because I know for a fact that character is gone.
I'm also a little confused seeing as when I log onto the forums, he's still there, and one of my other characters is missing. I don't understand that.

I wish there were some sort of news on this? I'd like to go ahead and get this all taken care of today while I'm able but it doesn't sound like there's any devs around to answer?

edit: I'm not sure if this could be a reason, but if you're a returning character, your 1.0 characters might have become deactivated and not showing up? I hope this is the case.

Im really getting annoyed. Less than 11 hours to EA and im stuck without ANYONE able to help. Why does this forum even HAVE mods if they dont even read posts???

Regarding your edit, I for one only have a Beta 4 Char, I am completely new to FFXIV.
And as I said I think (not 100% sure) I deleted the Char (Miqo'te) I only made to be able to play while my Main (Elezen) was stuck in 3102 Limbo.

So I am as confused as you that the Miqo'te showed up here in the forum and even more when only that Miqo'te showed up during that registration process.
I really want a official response from SE regarding all this before I proceed with the registration process.

My theory behind the whole phantom character is that they're basing some of the login info after an old save right before the servers went offline. Because I'm pretty sure I didn't log out as a Botanist. If they are basing the forum information off of characters used to log in during phase 4, it'd make sense for me at least that it'd only show my main, and a deleted character, as I never got a chance to log into my spare. Not that I remember doing so anyway.

The old character from P4 that I deleted IS connected to my main service account (it says logged into phase 3, phase 4, and has my garlond goggles which I know did show up in my inventory during P4) so I'm thinking that all the servers are doing is drawing the most recent data.
Since the Goggles in the past spread to any character on the same service account, even if your main characters aren't showing up right now they should still be in your service history.
Not to mention I did log in with this account and its still active with my old pre order items from 1.0
This is what I'm putting all my chips on as I already made the plunge. |: If I'm wrong, I'm so sorry for suggesting that everyone just go ahead and trust that the items will be available on all phase 4 or 1.0 characters. < A>

I think we'll be ok on this. I think it just pulls data from jp servers first.
