This is costing SE. I play at non-peak hours so I can always get in, but from my friend, who I convinced to pre-order:

friend: im getting 1017 errors all day everyday
unable to play at all

me: I was ok yesterday but haven't tried logging in at all today
friend: I want to cancel my pre-rder

This is good. I know they want to let people play the game immediately after release. But it would be useless with all the problems of ppl not being able to log in and servers crashing. So this maintenance is badly needed. Hope they are able to lessen the issues before they do a major maintenance next week for the added capacity on servers :-) Go SE

And how do you know that they aren't implementing auto disconnect, though it should have been there a long time ago. I could have sworn I was auto dc'd during Phase 4. Anyhow, current server space is only party of the issue. I can guarantee that having auto disconnect will alleviate a large amount of the 1017's. Band-aid it now to make it bearable, then fix the issue.
