what you arent seeing is the other posts where the link the OP posted is a fake.. so yeah, dont worry. i was just supporting the OP telling you guys there are phishing emails that people want your account, but that's ok.. obviously no one needs a warningJesus Christ... it isn't telling you to reset anything.
It plainly states that THEY Have reset your code. I.e. your 18 digit code code was previously set to provide a 20 digit EU code on use, it has been reset to provide an NA code.
It's telling you to RE-ENTER your initial 18 digit code to get your region appropriate 20 digit EA/Bonus code.

I got the e-mail as well and it's legit. Yesterday I got 3 e-mails that were confirmations of my EA code 2 days late. In one of them I had an EU code and in the other two the NA code. This email is probably just a late reminder for those that received an EU code even if they have already received and redeened the correct code.

Information in the email is legit. From Twitter:
FINAL FANTASY XIV @FF_XIV_EN 18m
NA users that got an incorrect region early access codes when using a preorder code from the US SE online store: please try your code again!
FINAL FANTASY XIV @FF_XIV_EN 15m
We've fixed the codes so that those experiencing errors will be able to redeem them again.
NA pre-order website: http://sqex.to/9UI
If you're really that worried, just log into the preorder site manually w/o clicking the links and try again.
If it was successful before though we shouldn't have to do anything correct?

I got this mail this morning, so im not worried anymorehopefully!
Dear "Our favourite #1 pretty smexy deliciouse lovely Mist Lopez awesome best in the entire world tank which we love more then anything"
Thank you for contacting the Square Enix Support Centre.
We are sorry for the confusion regarding your pre-order code. Unfortunately it seems that some codes were delayed but I have checked your account and it appears yours has been added correctly so if there is anything else we can do or you please do not hesitate to contact us.
We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.
Kind regards,
The Square Enix Support Centre team
Well, I tried my code again, it gave me the same EA code, and when I put it in it stated I'm already registered. So good to go. I hope.

There are a few differences that lead me to believe there is a phising email going around.
1.)email was sent to Kaoekari(never used nor heard of this ign)
2.)every other email ive received from square had SQUARE ENIX all in caps, the one i received did not(Square Enix)
3.)states that they launched the registration site"yesterday". Received email 8/23, making yesterday 8/22. In reality the registration site was up 8/21

The email-square-enix.com domain is legit. Like PlanckZero said, this is the domain they're using to "mail out" their monthly newsletters and they've been using this domain since the Dec 2012 newsletter. For further proof:
Dec 2012 Newsletter:
http://link.email-square-enix.com/Ye...zV2rd4GtmZWhwD
May 2013:
http://link.email-square-enix.com/Ye...zV2rd4GsfY8Kly
The newsletters from June and July are also mailed from email-square-enix.com, but unfortunately the HTML version links take you to http://archive.na.square-enix.com//newsletter/09/ which does not exist.
Greetings,
This is a legitimate email that we sent out to a small number of users who were affected by the issue. If you received the email, but have already redeemed your code and gotten the correct early access code, you're all set!
If you got this email and got the correct early access code from the start, you're all set, too!
Here is the from: noreply@email-square-enix.com
And here is the subject: FFXIV: ARR Pre-Order Code Redemption Issues
I just wanted to confirm that this is not a phishing email and it was only sent out to a small number of users.
Also, since the thread title may alarm some people, I'll be making a slight edit to it.
