I didn't have a chace to try in P4 because my mining was capped at 20 and botany at 50. Was just wondering if it's faster or slower, i plan to pretty much burn all my leve allowance on miner xD

I'd say it's easier to level miner in ARR than it was in 1.0 (and more profitable) since you can easily find mining points on your mini-map and choose your own items, instead of running round like a headless chicken searching for the points before you have the level for the abilities.
Oh, so there's always a point up? I'm guessing the only nodes that's on a timer are the HQ ones?I'd say it's easier to level miner in ARR than it was in 1.0 (and more profitable) since you can easily find mining points on your mini-map and choose your own items, instead of running round like a headless chicken searching for the points before you have the level for the abilities.
Yeah, in ARR mining points are (almost) static so they hardly never move and after mining at 3 different locations they respawn.
so if you imagine an area with 3 mining points in you could go A > B > C > A > B > C and repeat without having to run all over the place. When mining points do move its a matter of 5 yalms so its pretty much next to where the old one was.
Seems easy enough, i shouldn't have a problem with it then xD thanks for the answers.Yeah, in ARR mining points are (almost) static so they hardly never move and after mining at 3 different locations they respawn.

How exactly is mining more profitable? I'm not doubting you, I'm just curious because I'm starting miner now.
Thx.
Leves are a nice way to level now, the target will be the level you set it as.
I suspect they thinks it's more profitable because you can more easily get the specific item you want, however this is true for everyone... so the profits will come from targeting that which sells for the most, until it's drops because everyone mines it and switch to the next etc...
I see, that makes sense. If that's the case, I guess I wont be making gil then, since i'm pretty bad when it comes to have a feeling of the market to see what is in demand. Thanks.Leves are a nice way to level now, the target will be the level you set it as.

At least you'll have a chance to get better at knowing what to sell on the market. Back in 1.0 it was random what you'd get, maybe crystal crystal dust, salt, and then an ore if you're lucky. So if you're planning on leveling a crafting job you will atleast be able to get exactly what you need for the crafts you're planning.
Normal to get 150-200ish exp from nodes 2-3 levels higher then you? Seems slow >.> Level 23 getting that with Silver Ore. Can i move to 26-30 etc w/o it showing up in the Gathering Log or does it have to be in there first?
