1.0 - Collectors Edition question (most likely been asked)

Non Legacy member but played 1.0 (beta 3+4), Wanted early access so i bought Digital Collectors Edition from www.greenmangaming.com and redeemed the only code i got which i presume is the Early Access code, Now reading around due to having a service account with 1.0 i wont get my collectors stuff?

If this is the case what do i do?

Ive contacted both square-enix and GMG (To see if id be entitled to a refund as ive paid and redeemed a code) and just waiting a response.

I know people will say "Should of waited for Digital upgrade" But i didnt know of it until after i ordered plus i wanted early access.

Hope someone can shed some light on this confusing situation.

    Thanks all!

If you were in Open Beta and still want Early Access you should still be able to use your pre-order code as you already have the final release client on your computer and no one will be able to register their copy of Final Fantasy XIV until official release or the release of the Mogstation. The purchase of the Digital Collector's edition would only be for early access in this case. So you paid that much for the early access.

Once official release rolls around though it sounds like you'll have to purchase a digital upgrade. You just might be able to get away with receiving your pre order code. Wait a tic'. Return the Digital Collector's edition. Confirm refund. Enter pre order code. Play early access. Wait for official release. Then purchase the digital upgrade.

That's the only way I think you could game the system being a 1.0 non legacy player who still wants access to your non-legacy 1.0 character and play during the early access.

you wont get the CE stuff until the 27th i believe
it should list the pre order bonus on your acct, mine did

the digital upgrade is not available till the mog station is up which will be on the 27th. You wont get early access or pre order bonus.

after you redeemed your promotional code, you are given early access code right away. If you have registered the ea codes, you are good.
the digital CE PC also includes the game, dont need a digital upgrade.

I don't know how it works for the digital versions, but with the physical copies the Collectors items are a separate code (literally a separate piece of a paper with a separate code, as well as the main game code).

Do you have to put in your Square Enix username at some point? I guess that when it does that it'll apply the standard or collectors edition to your account (if not, I fail to see how you can possibly get either version without an actual game code).

But I don't think you'll have any problems getting the collectors items, but buying the digital upgrade would have been cheaper!
