    TV overscan on PS3 version?

Any way to adjust the screen size on the PS3 version? I've tried on two different televisions and there's a large amount of overscan, with many UI elements going off the edges of the viewable area. This was a problem in beta 3 and beta 4. Hopefully the release version will have a way to adjust this, or maybe there already was an option but I just couldn't find it.

was there ever a ticket opened about this problem?
also you may want to check your PS3 settings to see if anything there might cause the problem

Wouldn't that be something you change on the TV primarily?

If you post what TV models you've tested, maybe someone can help with those?

Same issue here. Most other games have an "adjust screen to fit your TV" option. No such option in FFXIV.

In one of the settings menus you have the option to change your UI placement, but you have to fix each one individually

I had this issue. It was fixed by adjusting the settings on my TV. This is not an in game or ps3 issue. This will not be fixed by the devs. If you post the brand and model number of your TV I'm sure someone can help you figure out how to adjust the settings.

I believe there was an answer on the beta forum that they would look into being able to adjust this on the PS3 since some people have TV's that don't allow any overscan adjustments...

Except that it's only an issue with this game, not with the PS3 UI or with any other game. So if I adjusted the television to be "right" for FF14, it would then be "wrong" for everything else.

Many other games have an in-game option to adjust the viewable area. I've never really had to worry about it before because most games "just work" with the default settings.

Overscan issues and screen size are two different things. This adjustment will make all your games look better.
