does the 1.0 freeplay and a new order's free month stack?

    Hi,

I used to be in 1.0 but unfortunately didn't qualify for legacy (and didn't have the collector's edition)
Because of that I did not get early access, but will get free play until the 9th of september

Because I wanted early access i bought the benelux version of ffxiv ARR, which I understand also contains a month free play and early access.
I have succesfully entered my early access key, but would love to know, do the free month and 1.0's welcome back campaign stack?

I'd assume they dont stack, you just get whichever time is bigger.

it wouldn't make sense for it to not stack. especially if you play for 2 weeks, then register the game, it should give you the free month.

I would assume they do stack, because the 30 days free time is not just for launch but any time a new version of the game is attached to your account. If you have PC 1.0 and buy the ps3 version it should be 30 days free in addition to whatever you already have. If they deduct days from the PS3 purchase for 1.0 players, people will call them out on it and it would not look good on their part. PR suicide or 14 days free. I think their choice is clear.

I can't find where I originally saw this, and perhaps I'm just remembering wrong, but I believe I read that you do NOT get a free month of game time when adding a new license to an existing account. I remember being rather disgusted when I saw this. Hopefully someone from SE can better explain.

    Update:

"If you upgrade to a full subscription after the Free Trial ended and then register a license for another platform, the duration of your currently selected subscription will be extended by 30 days in lieu of another Free Trial."

so now we just need to have SE confirm that the same goes for a second pc edition
How I understand it to work:
    Ex:
    You own 1.0 software
You purchase PS3 version and add it to the same service account as you already used in 1.0.
You DO get the free month from buying PS3.

    Ex 2:
    You do NOT own 1.0
You are a new PS3 player. You setup your account and DO get a free month.

    Ex 3:
    You DO own 1.0
You purchase Ps3 version of the game.
You setup a NEW service account for your PS3 license, different from your 1.0 service account.
Your new (PS3) service account gets one month for free.
Your 1.0 account can play on PC, but not PS3. Your PS3 account can play on PS3, but not on PC.

    Ex 4:
    You DO own 1.0/PC
You purchase a second license for PC.
You add your second license to the same service account as your 1.0 (for early access, collectors, etc)
Unknown if you get the 30 days of free game time or not.

Ex 2 and 3 are both understandable and expected. but your first one needs to be clarified by an SE representative because that is the main issue at hand.

In short, it shouldn't matter whether or not i already own 1.0. If i'm paying $80 for a physical copy of the game, i deserve an additional 30 days of free game time that is otherwise included in the purchase of the game.

is simple 30 days free play is not a bonus for buy the game, is a bonus for create a new account services. if you think about it is logical all 1.0 players get they 30 days free when the create the account service at 1.0 launch.

so what your saying is that paying $29.99 for the game for a new account gives a free 30 days, but paying $49.99 minimum to get the collectors edition items and adding that to a 1.0 account doesn't qualify for a free 30 days... see where this math doesn't add up

yes because upgrade you 1.0 account to ARR collectors edition will only cost $19.99 at launch, so when they plan the incentives for new and old players for this relaunch they did't expect that someone will buy a new copy of a game that will get for free with 14 days of free play, just to get 16 days more. because if you think about it, that is illogical.
