Character name deletion on inactive beta account?

Hello!

A strange question but here it goes - is it possible to delete a character on an inactive account, provided you can prove you are the owner of both accounts?

Unfortunately with the confusion of region locked early access codes, I redeemed my early access code to a new SE account, rather than the one I used during the open beta, which has a level 15 Thaurmatage. The only reason I ask is because I would really like the character name I used to be freed up again so I can use it on a specific realm on my new account that I redeemed my code with.

I've thought of cancelling the 'open beta' account through the Square Enix Account Management settings... but unsure if this would work?

I know this is a silly mistake of mine, but no harm in asking right?

Well I'm gonna chance it and delete the account I used for beta and just hope the character gets deleted as well... otherwise meh
