Unable to complete version check. [30605][10009][10020]

So I'm having an issue when I try to even start the launcher. This pops up:



I have it set to Run as Administrator, the compatibility is set to my OS (windows 7), and I have tried to reinstall the launcher several times now with no help whatsoever.

Is this a server issue on SE's end? Or is something wrong on my end?

I remember having similar trouble a long time ago with a beta but forgot how to fix it. Since no one has a solution, I will offer a suggestion that may or may not work.

EDIT: Remove so no one try this as is not a solution.

Thanks for your suggestion, but it didn't help. It came up with a different error - something about the file not being found, so I think it's required or something. I have tried everything I can think of, but no luck.

Let me look at hidden files. It was during Phase 2 that I had this issue, and completely forgot how to fix it I had seen the fix on the forum, which don't exist no more.

That user had to turn off NetLimiter.

If you're using any kind of antivirus, security software, browser security software, download manager or tools like netlimiter, try turning them off and trying again. Might need reboot between.
Some programs need to really be shut down and not just "disabled".

BullGuard and ZoneAlarm in particular are known to cause problems.

I have tried turning off all my security/AV software, and I have no additional software like a download manager or netlimiter. I haven't downloaded anything new in the past week, and it worked fine last weekend. So I'm not sure what's going on. :/

Okay another suggestion and I'm sorry I don't have concrete solution...

go to My documents (C > Users > USERNAME> Documents) > FFXIV > Downloads > ffxivpatch > 4e9a232b > patch > delete the patch.info there.

Retry connecting again.

Please check your IE settings as well. May have to reset them to default if you've done any change at all with IE lately.

So I noticed that I couldn't even download from the SE servers - I was trying to redownload the latest client (even though I did earlier), but everyone else could. So it had to be something on my end. So I went around to another PC of mine on my network to try to download, and there was an error on the screen there saying both my PCs had the same IP address and it was causing a conflict. So I completely reset my router, and now the launcher is working. I'm currently patching now. xD
