    Unable to obtain preorder codes

    A friend and I preordered FF14 from a local game shop back in June (18th to be precise), one PC CE and one PS3 CE, hoping to get the preorder bonuses (especially early access). We were told that we would get them, but as of this afternoon (August 23rd) the shop we ordered at explained that they were denied access to any preorder codes to distribute, for reasons I don't quite understand.

    I have photo proof of when we preordered (from the shop), if need be.

    I tried to contact Square Enix support, but they require a registration code that I don't have (since the game copies haven't arrived yet). I'd really hate to miss out on preorder bonuses over what seems to be an organizational muddle.

    Edit: I need to add that we live in Switzerland, and therefore CANNOT order from Square Enix EU directly. We've never had any problems with this shop before.

    Not SE's problem. You have to either get it from where you bought it or cancel and buy somewhere else.

    The problem is that it's apparently SE Europe denying distribution of codes, even though the preorder is legit and everything. Sorry if that was unclear. And as said above, I have nowhere else I could order from right now.

    As crappy as it sounds, I can nearly guarantee that SE won't help you and will simply tell you that you need to get the code from your retailer. They should have given you the codes when you first purchased it.

    Not sure why you can't buy from SE EU store, they have supposedly supported Switzerland since last year.

    Yeah, I'm kind of expecting it, but on the other hand, I'd hate to miss out on this weekend because of it :C

    As for the SE EU store, when we wanted to preorder in June we weren't given the option to ship to Switzerland, hence the switching to a local store.

    Well, managed to reach SE's support chat, only to be told I'm supposed to be addressing my issues to the SE shop. They gave me a number, but it keeps ringing as occupied (I've been trying for the past hour), and now the support chats have closed so I can't ask for any more help.

    Kinda bummed out :C
