A better idea would be for them to actually make crafting fun and less of a tedious button-smash.

It reminds me of WoW's "rested experience" system but OP said it auto-leveled. At least in WoW you have *to do* something to gain XP to use the rested state.
In case you haven't played WoW, rested experience is a bonus XP multiplier given when the player spends time logged off in cities or inns. There's a cap to the amount of bonus XP awarded.

Well I would rather smash standard than pull up a window that does everything for me like most games. Get a ps2 controller, get a usb to ps2 controller, download xpadder (not needed for ffxiv, but needed for plan), w/ xpadder set turbo button. I don't do this, but I saw someone on youtube do it, they set turbo on standard lol, and it does it for them.
Um i like crafting till now i dont find it boring. I dont think you should get any free sp while logged, why do i play when i can get the levels by not playing? o.o
And no Perfect World doesnt give xp when not logged in id totaly noticed that. XD
Jade Dynasty does have a botting option, you just turn that bot thing on, tell it when to use pots and go do smth else. Horrible! x.X
WoW's rested xp is a pain! You level so fast you dont even have the chance to do all quests to enjoy the Storyline. The less time you have to play the worse it gets.
I'm just Weaver lv 14 or so but i dont feel it is slow at all. There are other things that bug me but it is far from boring. Even a little to exciting when i start biting into my table when i see 70% progress and 30 durability on a craft which is slightly above my level.
At 85% and 13 durability or so im starting to come very close to a heart attack. And ye its great its more active then other crafting systems which are just plain boring or plain frustrating, sometimes both. :3
Can't have offline progress. People will make bots for that within 2 weeks of its inception, and with no way to prove you didn't craft all that stuff while offline there's no way to enforce any game rules.
Edit: ugh tired, read the thread entirely wrong so the above is irrelevant.
Still can't have automatic progress. Why even have levels at all then?
