Early Access and Character Rested Exp

Question for this... From what i've seen, the rested exp bonus builds over time while sitting in a sanctuary or inn. My question is when switching classes, does this bonus scale accordingly?

IE. i'm resting on my lvl 20 class right now and say it's bar is currently at 50% for rested exp bonus. I switch to my lvl 5 class. What i would expect is for that bonus exp to scale with the exp required. Can anybody confirm if the rested xp is a percentile growth on the xp bar, or if it's actually exp related?

Yes, it will switch. Which is why it's best to utilize the rested on a higher level character. It goes through by levels, not a number in experience points. So if you have a full level in rested on a level 30, it'll be a full level of rested for a level 1.. Once you hit level 2 that rested will be gone. I'll try to find the source to that (I do remember reading it from SE though).

as far as i know. this could be a bug in the code. Why should the exp of a rested lvl 20 character be more than the rested xp of a lvl 10 character. the way i see it, the time being used to sit should be an equivalent bonus xp to be used, and not a percentile of the character's exp bar itself.

Good question either way I made sure to log out when the beta ended at a sanctuary, hopefully they'll count some of the time for the rested bonus

They will. but the answer to this will affect my actions once the game begins tomorrow. If it is exp based and not exp bar percentage based, i plan on leveling a DOL/DOH class with this bonus xp. if it is exp bar percentage based, then i'll use it on my high level class.
