Aug 23 client Update not working

According to this we get an update upon launching the client. However, once I open the client still shows the last update 22/08 and no automatic update starts.

Everyone is having this issue? is this normal?

you need to log in, then it will download patch 2013.08.19.0000.0001 which is 1035.90MB

@Pavetl: I didn't get an update either when I logged in.. Perhaps the one from yesterday is the actual update, but on the other hand, that update doesn't correspond with the date and time SE announced.

@Kuroi_Tsuki: The patch you're referring to looks like it was released the 19th of August (if you look at it's name) - did you misspell the name of the patch?

There are quite a bit of loose ends in this whole registration-and-installation process if you ask me. I wish SE would respond to a lot of the questions that has appeared on this forum for the last couple of days. It's not as if they would be better off with everyone ending up being disconcerted and unhappy even before the actual game is playable.

There is no client update. the 8/22/13 launcher update is what's being used, and I just downloaded a patch after they said it went live, although I can't remember the name. it was 757 Mb I think

A simple, HEY THIS IS WHAT EVERYONE SHOULD BE DOWNLOADING AT THIS TIME would be really freakin' appreciated. I honestly don't know if I'm subscribing at this point. Especially if this patch doesn't install AGAIN. If I miss a SINGLE minute of Early Access because of their incompetence, I will convince everyone I know that this game is not worth their time.

There's no need for your negativity. When you decided to buy an MMO day one; you should've expected issues. It's happened with every large scale MMO to date.

~Pay 40 dollars in ADVANCE so you can play the game Early.
~The game won't even patch properly on a GOD DAMN PS3.
~She thinks I won't convince my friends that this game isn't worth their time or money.

Sorry things don't work perfectly and you're impatient. I'm assuming this is your first MMO, but like I said things aren't always good on day 1 for any game really, but MMOs are worse for some reason, and trust me things could be a whole lot worse
