Will there be server restrictions at launch?

A lot of people couldn't get on the same server as friends/family during Phase 4. Is the plan to start out EA with the same restrictions and have there been any more details on the server transfers?

I imagine there will be. As SE tries to direct new players to newer, less populated servers, some restrictions may be applied.

I'm sure they'll be mostly temporary, but I wouldn't be surprised if at least Gilgamesh and Leviathan are closed off entirely for a longer period of time due to overpopulation.

There may be some at first:

We are expecting major congestion during the period starting with the Early Access on Aug. 24, 2013 at 2:00 a.m. (PDT) leading up to the official game launch on Aug. 27, 2013 (PDT).
If a large volume of players attempt to log-in to the game simultaneously, certain players may receive the following message: “This World is currently full. Players in queue: ##.” If you receive this message, we ask that you please wait until your log-in is processed.
In addition, in order to avoid server congestion related issues from multiple characters concentrating in the starting areas, we may implement restrictions on log-in(s) and/or the creation of new characters for a period of time after the servers open to the public.

I really want my one character to go back to Excalibur, but I had to delete and remake her due to some character created errors (her voice), but I was unable to select Excalibur. Now she's stuck on Diabolos...

Yes, I would assume there will be server restrictions similar to how Phase 4 was. Shouldn't be surprising either, since they've been added new worlds slowly to remedy the issue. It just sucks if you have a large group of friends who all want to play on the same server.

I was really hoping to hear from someone at SE if there will be restrictions and their plan for getting people to play together who could not make accounts during previous phases and are stuck because of characters on legacy servers.

I sincerely hope they raise the restrictions if only for a little while. I need to get on Goblin!
